This Server Tech Smart Power Monitor, also known as an Inline Power Meter, is a device that works with your Existing Rack PDUs. If you have Rack PDUs that do not have a Meter Display or if determining cabinet power loads is a manual process for you and your staff, the Server Tech Smart Power Monitor can give you this information easily without removing your Existing Rack PDUs. The Smart Power Monitor is similar to an Inline Meter and provides power metering at the circuit level, which means power metrics can be gathered and reported on a per cabinet basis.


Server Tech Smart Power Monitors are a step up from Dumb PDUs or Metered PDUs, by adding network communication, environmental temperature & humidity monitoring, & built-in GUI interface, customized alerting & reporting, communication to 3rd party systems.


This Smart Power Meter can be remotely accessed via any web-browser, monitor cabinet environmental conditions (using external sensors), send power & environmental data via SNMP, & alert admins of exceeded thresholds. This combined with the Server Tech SPM (Sentry Power Manager) Power Management Software, creates a powerful tool allowing managers to accuratley report power consumption and environmental conditions at the room/row/rack/device levels throughout the data center.
